What Does a CA Do?
Chartered Accountants handle auditing, taxation (direct and indirect), financial reporting, corporate law compliance, and business advisory. They work in audit firms (Big 4: Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), corporations (CFO track), banks, government (tax departments), and private practice. In India, CAs have a statutory monopoly on auditing — no other professional can sign an audit report.
